Across Mexico in $230s-$430s RT

It's time to pick your poison! These Mexican cities each come with their own signature drinks.

Today's menu:

Michelada (Beer, lime juice, spices) - In Mexico City, margs are for tourists. Locals just grab one of these cheap and refreshing beverages from any street corner. 

Xtabentún (anise liquor) - This ancient Mayan concoction tastes like licorice, honey, and flowers. Turns out Cancún had sugary cocktails long before the resorts started selling them!

Tequila flight (locally sourced) - Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara are both in the state of Jalisco - the birthplace of tequila. You can try each one individually, or grab a flight to taste-test both.

Damiana (herbal liqueur) - The damiana plant, native to the Baja peninsula, distills to a perfect elixir. It's an excellent addition to a Los Cabos margarita, but be warned - it's famously an aphrodisiac.

And if you're the mocktail type, don't fret. No matter which city in Mexico you visit, you're never more than a few yards from another (surprisingly ancient) drink :-)
