One of the most popular beaches travellers flock to is Kovalam, famous for tranquil waters and crescent-shaped shores.

But Shanghumukham is also well worth a visit, because as well as having dreamy sunsets, you'll also find a huuuuuge mermaid statue — it's the biggest merperson sculpture in the world!
