Hong Kong in €390s-€530s rtn

Ahh, Hong Kong... Last time I visited, I was a broke student on a mission to backpack my way across Asia on a budget.

While my trip wasn't always the smoothest, I did pick up a few handy tips along the way on how to keep costs down while still having fun:

1) Skip the fancy restaurants and eat on the streets of Mong Kok. The street food in this area is absolutely top tier and incredibly affordable, so pull up a plastic stool and get stuck in!

2) If you're able to hike uphill for an hour or two, I'd strongly recommend skipping the pricey tram up to Victoria Peak. The walk is fairly level and easy to do, plus the cooler November temps will make everything easier.

3) Don't miss the free stuff. Both the Zoological Botanical Gardens and the Chi Lin Nunnery are completely free to enter. Plus, they're both little pockets of peacefulness in the busy city.
