Dubrovnik—the Pearl of the Adriatic. You know its Game of Thrones locations, and you love its famous city walls. 

But from June onwards, you might fancy the Croatian sun without the crowding sightseers. Well, Cavtat is here to save your holiday.

Take a short ferry from Dubrovnik (or a 10-minute drive from the airport) to find a mausoleum with serious sea views and near-empty beaches. 

If you did end up hiring that car, it'll come in handy to get to Vidikovac Sivi Soko, a lookout across the Adriatic Sea.
