From here, you’re just a hop away from the Dominican Alps (yes, you read that right!). I'm talking lush mountains, winding rivers, and endless waterfalls at your doorstep.

The town of Jarabacoa is a good place to start, if you're looking for a taste of real Dominican life and wilderness, and would rather steer away from the resort life.
