It's been about a year since we last saw a good deal to Cape Verde, so let's get you re-acquainted...

This archipelago is sort of the "Caribbean of Africa" — laid-back, tropical, and boasting a pretty diverse array of landscapes despite being roughly the size of Rhode Island. You can explore jagged green mountains, ashy volcanic craters, dune-filled deserts, and of course, ridiculously perfect beaches.

These crazy-cheap fares are good for two different islands: Sal and Santiago! Island-hopping isn't the easiest here, so you'll have to pick.

Sal is definitely the more popular of the two, with stress-free tourist infrastructure. If you want to lie back, soaking up beach town vibes over a caipirinha served seaside, start here. You won't exactly have to rough it!

If you're desperate to escape the resort track, try Santiago. Despite hosting the nation's capital, visitors tend to overlook this island, so the local culture feels a lot more authentic. When you're finished mingling at the colorful markets, head to Cidade Velha for a taste of island life... 500 years in the past :-)
