Brisbane in $850s-$960s RT

Calling all adventurers!

Brisbane is more of an explorer's town than Sydney or Melbourne. There are some cool things to do in the city itself (art galleries and kayaking the Brisbane River come to mind), but you'll want to take some day trips to really get the most out of this one.

First things first, a dive into the Sunshine Coast is a must, especially during the summer. It's not quite as striking as northern Queensland, but it's relaxing and very close to the city. Surfers should check out the Gold Coast as well, while hikers will want to make a beeline for the trails and gorgeous vistas of D'Aguilar National Park.
