A lesser traveler might balk at a trip to Mexico in the middle of summer. But since when has a little sun ever stopped a Texan from having a good time?

So go on: Grab your shades, slather yourself in SPF 50, and poke around some ancient Mayan ruins. Catch some rays on a beach so gorgeous they named it "paradise." Or hop on a boat and go find yourself a manatee—bet you've never seen one up close before.

And if you do need to cool off, just take a dip in the cool blue water of a nearby cenote :-)
