Sitting way up past the Arctic Circle, this city is known for its soft white snow that the reindeer call home, beautiful frosty landscapes thanks to the nearby fjords, and majestic whales that lurk in the surrounding water.

But of course, we can't not mention those seriously impressive dancing green lights in the sky! 

Your best chance of spotting them is on a clear night between August-April, and if you are lucky enough to see them during your trip, it's a sight you'll never forget :-)
