Well, you'd better make sure your trip to Tokyo includes a stop at Inari Soba Mansei then. This unassuming little noodle shop has been in business for over 400 years, so it's safe to say the food is probably pretty good.

The joint even appears in an old legend about Takuzousu, a shape-shifting fox spirit turned Buddhist monk. According to the story, the owner of the noodle shop figured out Takuzousu's identity because he kept paying in magic coins that turned into leaves when the spell wore off.

I think they prefer regular cash these days, though :-)
