The UAE, Oman, and Kuwait
in £220s-£290s rtn
Ok, this place just officially made it to the top of my wild swimming bucket list!
Wadi Shab is a collection of brilliantly turquoise natural pools dotted along a flowing river that meanders through towering, rugged canyons in Oman.
To visit, you're best off hiring a car, since public transport can be limited. It's a fairly easy hour-and-a-half drive, though, with well-maintained roads.
After reaching the car park, you've got another hour-long hike before you can dive into the first pool.
But the real cherry on top comes in the form of a narrow opening in one of the rock faces in the last pool. Confident swimmers can shimmy through the gap to enter a secret cave with a hidden waterfall.
Basically, a real life moon cave!
