Slovenia in $400s-$450s RT

This is one of those places that European travelers hold near and dear, but Americans haven't quite caught on yet. The US isn't even in the top 15 nationalities among visitors to Slovenia.

And they're missing out! This has to be one of the most picturesque places in the entire world: castles, rolling green hills, icy blue rivers, and a capital city so beautiful and clean that it barely looks real. And because it lacks the name recognition of some larger countries, you can explore all of it without being swamped by crowds.

These two routes have very different availability, but both offer storybook views. Boston, we suggest you take advantage of the autumn weather by hiking around Triglav National Park. Think dramatic alpine vistas and winding forest hikes surrounded by an explosion of fall color.

New York, prepare yourself for the ultimate winter wonderland. Lake Bled looks great in white! That island church rises up from the snow, the castle on the cliff gets bathed in string lights, and there are ski resorts as far as the eye can see.

So rather than picking your way through the crowd in Paris or Rome, drop down in Ljubljana this time :-)
