Santiago at $626 RT

Look, we love Santiago. But they really should have called it "Santia-go-out-on-some-day-trips-seriously-the-surrounding-area-is-so-amazing," even if that is a bit of a mouthful.

If we're talking day trips, we gotta start with Valparaiso, where the beaches are sandy, the architecture is historic, and the street art is just phenomenal. Oh, and who doesn't like a good funicular ride?

For a more luxurious taste of the Chilean coast, head to Viña del Mar next. It's a bit bougier than Valparaiso and the ideal place to release your inner beach bum.

Hmmm, sorta feels like we're forgetting something.... Oh right, the enormous, picture-perfect mountain range right next door to Santiago, duh :-)
