From the Emerald Isle to emerald Oman?

Breaking the mould of your average Middle Eastern city, lesser known Salalah is home to lush landscapes, cascading waterfalls and turquoise lagoons—and here's the proof!

Usually, it's pretty tricky to reach, since cheap flights there don't pop up too often. In fact, these are the first we've ever spotted from Dublin. And if you wanted to drive from Muscat, you'd have 9.5 hours of road ahead of you.

Although it hasn't quite made its way onto the mainstream travel lists just yet, we're sure it won't be too long before word gets out. So you wanna enjoy this literal desert oasis before anyone else, you should hop on this one quick.

FYI, if you want maximum greenery, aim to travel in June, September, or October :-)
