Helgafell, Jack's Flight Club… we're both in the business of granting wishes! 

Translating to Holy Mountain in Icelandic, this spot has been considered sacred since pagan times — a safe haven where no person or animal could be harmed. Legend has it that upon reaching the top, you'll be granted 3 wishes. But not without jumping through a few hoops: 

1. First, find the grave of Guðrún (north of the church and cemetery)
2. Ensure your mind is clear from negative patterns of thought while climbing the mountain
3. Make a symbol of the cross, over Guðrún´s grave, with your right hand only
4. Your face has to be washed (don't ask, we didn't write these rules) 
5. No speaking while climbing the mountain
6. Do not look to the right or to the left – only look straight ahead
7. Find the entrance to the small enclosure
8. Face east (the town of Stykkishólmur is north)
9. All wishes must be of good intention with no ill-harm
10. Never ever share what you wished for
