Peru in $520s-$570s RT

Lots of people use Lima as a pit stop on the way to Cusco, or a home base for day trips. 

And that's... pretty fair, honestly. Why stick around the city when you could be chilling in a desert oasis? Or hiking out to an honest-to-god world wonder?

But do yourself a favor and stay in Lima at least through dinner time—especially if you've never had ceviche before. Peruvian food is this crazy delicious mix of influences from all over the world, and there's no better place to try it than the capital.

Be careful, though! If you spend the whole trip eating, you'll miss out on sights like these :-)
