Okay, here's a few more...you'll find these flame-coloured felines roaming freely through Sundarbans National Park, around 4-hours drive south of Kolkata. 

Hectic city life becomes a distant memory here as this maze of meandering waterways and marshy mangroves swallows you whole. The shouts of street vendors and honking tuk-tuks are replaced by shrieking bird songs, croaking insects and the occasional tiger roar.

And the best way to experience it all? By boat! You get to lazily drift down the winding, narrow creeks, big cat spotting from a safe distance. Well, kind of...they are partial to a paddle every now and then :-)
