It's also home to wide stretches of blue-flag beaches and sleepy coastal villages. Peñíscola's whitewashed houses look especially dreamy, don't you think? It's also got pretty decent ferry connections to the islands of Ibiza, Mallorca & Menorca too!

Speaking of Ibiza, come in off-season, and you'll catch a glimpse of the islands' laid-back side. Think secret caves; keepers of sacred offerings to Phoenician deities, and secluded snorkeling coves alll to yourself :-)
