Guyana

Niagara Falls, shmiagara falls. If you want to see a really really big waterfall, Guyana's the place to be.
Introducing Kaieteur Falls, the tallest single-stream cascade on Earth. It's about 750 feet high, making it about four times the size of Niagara. You'll have to charter a plane to get there, but trust us—the views are worth it.
Fun fact: The local Patamona people have two legends about its name. According to the first, Kaieteur Falls was named after Kai, a chief who saved his people by paddling over the edge of the cliff, sacrificing his life to the spirit Makonaima.
The second legend, however, tells of an old man forced into a boat and pushed off the falls by his own fed-up relatives. According to this story, "Kaieteur" translates to "old-man-falls."
We're choosing to believe the first one :-)
P.S. On the hike out to the falls, keep your eyes peeled for the rare golden rocket frog.
