Nothing brightens up a Monday like a little off-season deal to Italy!

In a city whose glorious cathedral regularly has a 1-2 hour wait time during peak season, these slow winter dates are molto appealing. The duomo looks lovely with a dusting of snow, and most of the famous sights in Florence are indoors, filling up galleries. 

You're not likely to catch too much of a chill (think days in the 50s) but that doesn't mean you can't warm up with some hearty stew. Winter food in Tuscany is rustic and earthy, with lots of roast meat and vegetables paired with rich red wines.
