Welcome to the Land of Volcanoes!

We love to see El Salvador pop up, especially when there's lots of coverage throughout the year so you can visit whenever you fancy — we're talking as soon as next week, or waiting until December rolls around!

There's plenty to get up to depending on which season you visit, buuuut it's going to see the Santa Ana volcano that tops our list.

Sure you'll need to lace up some hiking boots for this one, but you can reach the peak and that beautiful blue crater lake in around 1.5-2 hours with the help of a local guide. These views will make it so worth it :-)
