Seriously, I can't count the number of times Cologne's been mentioned between backpackers and business travellers alike.

The city goes all in during the lead up to Christmas often voted as having some of the best markets in Europe. Wandering between twinkling lights under the city's gothic catherdal with a gluhwein in hand, I can't think of anything more magical.
