Yep, the African archipelago of Cape Verde is seriously hard to reach from Sweden and Norway on a budget. Buuut if you've been dreaming of diving into these fish-filled waters, just know that this the cheapest we've seen both these routes to date.

Water visibility is at its clearest from October-December, making it the ideal time to grab a snorkel and explore the watery world below.

If you wanna up the odds of an encounter even further, hop on a 10-min boat ride to the Santo Antão shipwreck near Santa Maria. It's the reef's hottest hangout spot for marine life! Plus, it's only at a depth of 12 metres, so you can still see plenty without diving deep.

From December onwards, the trade winds pick up again, and it's time to see the ocean from a different perspective :-)
