Bon dia Barcelona!

Autumn/winter dates are the way to go if you wanna see this city at its best. By then, the heat and crowds have thoroughly mellowed out, giving you plenty of breathing room to ramble La Rambla at your own pace.

Prefer to keep a distance from the main tourist hubs? Just look towards the slightly less-central neighbourhoods for fewer crowds. Poblenou is one of my personal favourites—its wide, tree-lined streets feel incredibly peaceful, and there's always plenty of space to throw your towel down on the beach.

Oh, and if you want ultimate solitude, a stroll around its shady cemetery cannot be beaten!
