Athens in $390s-$440s RT

It's been so long since we saw such lovely spring dates in Athens! The sunshine is sure to keep you outdoors awhile after visiting the Acropolis, and we know the perfect place to meander...

Along the north slope below the ruins lies a neighborhood called Anafiotika. Created by builders from the Cyclades, the scenery here looks like a Greek Isle was dropped into central Athens. Think smooth white walls, blue doors, and lush greenery. 

So if you won't make it to the islands on your trip, here's a quick taste of those vibes, minus the tourist crowds (Anafiotika tends to be pretty sleepy and peaceful).

And because you'll be there in spring, those huge pink clouds of bougainvillea will be everywhere :-)
