We're landing in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. If you're not familiar with the region, I promise you that it makes quite the impression.

Other than spectacular waterfalls, there's another liquid flowing — this is Brazil's wine region, and its vineyards are tucked into lush, green valleys and canyons. The two most important towns around here are Canela and Gramado, where you can both relax into the countryside, or do some shopping in a European-style village.
