Please meet Piplup the Mykines puffin, a (unexpectedly) native resident of on the island Mykines — the westernmost of the eighteen islands that form the Faroe archipelago.

No need to run across endless words to reach it, you can hop on the daily 50-minute ferry ride, or even onto a quick helicopter ride (setting you back at €80-ish per way, not too bad considering these views!)

The puffins arrive in late-April, and only stick around for the summer, so you'll be there just in time to catch a glimpse of the cuties. Plus, there won't be any scary tall grass to face… you'll find half a million of them frolicking on the rocks.

So… gotta catch them all?
