Guatemala at $515 RT

If you were to ask me about my travels in Guatemala, I'd say it was fulfilling and worth it. 

But if you were to ask me on a deeper level, I'd say it was a place that altered my brain chemistry. A place that once you come back from, you know you're not coming back as the same person you were when you left. 

Sure, on the surface, you could chalk it up to 4am volcano hikes, plant medicine ceremonies and sunset yoga on the shores of Lake Atitlan. However, it was actually the challenges I faced there that have shaped the type of traveler I am today. I won't lie, some of them were really, really hard. 

But with every plot twist comes an immense reward: a greater understanding of the world, and your place in it, and hopefully a desire to engage more with the locals and the land. 

I promise you'll have plenty of IG moments to flood your feed, but if you ask me, it's the ones that don't make it online that are even sweeter :-)
