Whoever asked Santa for some more routes from Bristol, it looks like your Christmas has just come early!

We've spied two brand new seasonal routes connecting the UK to Norway's capital of the north: Tromsø. And in case you didn't know, winter is THE time to visit, and here's why:

1) You'll find twinkling log cabin Christmas markets pop up all over town.

2) If you head out into the countryside and look up, you'll have pretty decent odds at catching the aurora borealis.

3) Until late January you can spot humpback whales, fin whales and even orcas swimming in the fjords and munching on herring at Skjervøy, northeast of Tromsø.
