*free bag* Florence in $450s-$460s RT from San Francisco

Florence + the Machine isn't just a band... it's also the life story of Leonardo da Vinci! The polymath spent most of his life in Florence.

You can start off in his birthplace of Vinci, about an hour outside of town. Here you'll find a museum and a library dedicated to him. Plus, it's just a pretty Tuscan town to spend your afternoon wandering!

Back in Florence, you'll have several stops to make. For Leo's art, head to the Uffizi Gallery to see a collection of his drawings and paintings. This is also where you'll find Botticelli's Birth of Venus, and works by other Italian masters whose names match the Ninja Turtles. 

But the Dog Days aren't over until you've seen those famous machines — fortunately there's an entire museum dedicated to recreating them :-)
