This one is for all the statue-philes out there...
Both Tirana & Skopje are absolutely crawling with sculptures, statues, and everything in between. Skopje alone has nearly 300 within its limits, including Alexander the Great, some river divers, and this one that looks kinda like the Fonz.
In Tirana, you'll find impressive statues of national heroes like Skanderbeg and Mother Teresa. But our personal favorite has got to be the 10-foot-tall George W. Bush located nearby in Fushë Kruje. The Dubya fandom clearly runs deep in Albania.
We're petitioning for the next American hero statue to be of Steve Urkel. Yeah, we did that :-)
