"It's Baltic" is a saying in the UK and Ireland that means it's really, really, cold outside. Sort of like how we'd describe a place as being like Alaska. 

But here's the thing: The Baltics actually kinda rock in winter. Sure, we won't pretend like it's not cold, but you can also expect some of Europe's finest Christmas markets and castles as far as the eye can see. You might even be able to find some of Santa's best helpers...

If winter wonderlands sound a bit too frigid for your LA tastes, try October or March. You should be able to squeeze in some relatively temperate temperatures to temper your temperament. Say that a few times fast.
